Order Food in caversham

Nice new place but a bit chaotic. I went in and was overwhelmed with the huge menu. And all the photos of food that wasn't on the menu. Lots of ppl in the kitchen but only one knew the menu and could explain. Got my food to go, went to the park to eat...no cutlery. Food was good though. Could be a great little spot if they worked on the service.

Good food that fills you up for a reasonable price. People serving also friendly. Would recommend Ramen, miso base and crispy chicken. (As seen in image)

Went there just because we wanted to try something new, had the chilli box and honey chicken and fried rice. We were really happy and satisfied with this, the portions are amazing and the prices are very affordable too. Will be back; and would recommend!!

tasted their sweet n sour pork. they make their own sauce so comes out golden. best sweet n sour pork in south dunedin so far

We have heard from work that this place was good. So stopped by for take away. Ordered 2 set of Dumplings - prawn and pork & vegetable. Sweet and sour. Price is not bad. Service was OK. The lady was friendly but her English is not good. You just have to be a bit understanding that English is not her first language but service is good. Shop is just a little bit rundown but food make it up for it. Menu is Hugh. I wish I could try them all. Look great.

A hidden gem this place is indeed⭐️ I’m not the type to go the extra mile to post a review, however! This place deserves to be raved about. I have dined here many times, and each visit I have consistently had a meal that has been to the same quality of the last dish I have ordered of its kind. Dining in on Saturday night I ordered the fried noodles with chicken. Meal was flavourful and noodles were perfectly fried. The high level of tasty and love is definitely poured in to the food from Sampan and it’s nice to see a place do its basic offerings really well. Price and portion sizing is definitely lower in price and above par with its portions compared to competitors. Well worth the money. The restaurant and dining space is clean and the service is quick from ordering to receiving your meal. The owners are lovely and the food speaks of that love.
