From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the freshness of the ingredients—there’s a large tank showcasing all the live seafood available, so you know exactly what you’re getting. It’s not just a meal here—it’s a full experience. The menu is focused and straightforward: fresh seafood is the star of the show. Don’t expect a long menu with lots of options—this place is all about premium, quality seafood done right. We ordered the combination seafood pot and a king crab, and both were absolutely amazing. The seafood pot was full of flavour and generously portioned, perfect for sharing. The king crab was fresh, meaty, and cooked to perfection. What really stood out, even beyond the delicious food, was the exceptional service. Honestly, it was the best service we’ve received at any restaurant in a long time. The staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. One staff member even helped us cook the seafood combination pot at our table, which made the experience even more enjoyable and memorable. It felt like we were being hosted rather than just served. We also tried the Paua fried rice, and it was a delightful surprise—perfectly cooked and rich in seafood flavour. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared, highlighting the freshness of the ingredients. Nice, basic restaurant. The couple who run it were so lovely. We enjoyed the food - Chicken fried rice, kung pao chicken, sweet and sour pork, egg foo young, steamed dumplings and fried noodles with shrimp. Simple delicious food. Great value.

The flavours are authentic, portions are generous, and everything is prepared with great care. Chef Priyanka is lovely — her skill and warm attitude make the experience even better. We've been eating here for thr past 2 years, each time we leave full and happy. The peking duck is a great value at $60, but you do need to order it 1 hour in advance. They serve the best salty egg yolk green beans, and the homemade pancake is huge and a fantastic value at $8. We brought my parents here when they visited NZ and they loved all the dishes we ordered. Highly recommended! Update: came back again and the food was excellent! The chef is very consistent in his cooking which we appreciate, as not all chinese restaurants are consistent and you never know what you're gonna get. Not here! The free jasmine tea is enjoyable as it's not too strong, not too weak (the owner says she buys the tea leaves from a specialty shop). The 20% off promotion is still available!
