The roast meals are always good especially the roast pork meal and that pork crackling is fire! The hot chips, fried chicken and chicken nibbles are some of the best in Auckland! Service is great too except sometimes a grumpy lady behind the counter who can't take a joke and also when they say the hot chips will take "7 minutes" but it takes double that! (NOTE: I am describing my interaction with the previous owners, not the current new owners who were running the shop the week before Christmas 2023).

I’m sharing this as my Uber Review could not update the rating. I had a Tom Kha Gai (chicken) soup with rice delivered to my hotel. Unfortunately the container cracked and leaked all over the driver’s car. I rang the Restaurant to advise of this issue and they were very kind to make the soup and rice again and deliver to my hotel. Now for the food review…. It is definitely one of my favourite dishes and this did not disappoint. The flavour was rich and balanced with the tomato to give a freshness to the soup. The addition of the rice was a welcome accompaniment as it made the meal more substantial. The portion size was huge and very generous for the price paid. Overall 10/10. I would have this dish again

Upstairs on Dominion Road. A simple place, staff speak limited English but pointing to the items on the menu does the trick. We had pancakes, cold pototoe salad and a hot dish which was pork. Very nice wrapped in the pancake. Took some home as it was too much for two people.

1st & last time ordering here. The reviews of the sweet & sour pork were hit & miss. Ours is a big miss! The dish is literally half the size of the combination Fried rice. Never had chinese takeouts served in different sized containers, ever & we've been ordering take out 30+ years! Sauce was barely covering the overcooked dry pork. Not worth $25. The plus is the rice & chips were very well portioned, hence 3 stars.

Come here on nearly every smoko, food is good as, the bro who owns the store is super kind and friendly. 100% Recommend the fish and chips is rlly cheap for how good it is.
