Little Tiger Dumpling

Little Tiger is the best thing in Auckland. What a legendary owner, and what a beautiful experience! Tiger and his sister greeted us with a smile and lovely conversation. Simply chatting to them brought a smile to our faces! Top quality human beings, and you can tell by the cheap prices and offers they have: a free drink when you spend over 16.90€, or daily offers with discounts for their rice dishes. And the dumplings... Best dumplings I've ever had. Big, clearly homemade and perfectly cooked (you can choose steamed or fried). Also, how wonderful it is that you can choose if you want 2, 4, 6 or 8 pieces, and combine all different flavours... Insane! Our favourites were the beef and onion and the pork dumplings. Awesome price, it was 37$ for chicken fried rice (delish and huge portion), 10 dumplings and 2 drinks. And free sauce too! Tiger and the rest working here, you're awesome. Thanks a million, gracias!

Excellent and authentic dumplings (l lived in central China for a short time). The beef fried rice we ordered was also fantastic. There’s only a small counter eating area (~4 seats, so this place is best for takeaway. Friendly and welcoming lady took our order and prepared it. Highly recommended especially if you’re staying nearby.

This place is a true hole-in-the-wall gem with excellent dumplings. We walked in without big expectations, but it turned out to be well worth the stop. When we arrived, four groups were already waiting for their orders, and you can actually see the team hand-making dumplings in the back, which adds to the charm. We ordered four fried three-delicacy dumplings and four steamed pork-and-cabbage dumplings with chili on top. Every bite was delicious. It’s an easy recommendation for anyone in Auckland who’s craving dumplings and doesn’t mind a simple, no-frills spot that focuses on great food.

It was our first night in New Zealand and just wanted something quick and delicious. Little Tiger was perfect. Small menu but everything great. And done quickly. We had the Fried Chicken and Corn and the Tofu Dumplings and an order of Chicken Friend rice. My favorite may have been the Tofu Dumplings, the texture of the filling was like ground meat and so tasty. The chef was super friendly and made sure we had all the sauces and utensils we needed.
