Order Food in ponsonby

I love Asian food and we’re always looking for places nearby to have a favourite so that we don’t have to travel so far away. This place has potential, but I think the quality of food can be better.. for example I love fried round beans either garlic or black bean flavour, but when we ordered it it was too soft. It doesn’t have that crunchy texture that it usually has. Then we got the promotion fried pork., but I realised it was just full of fat and not much it was a meat. And that feels a little bit overwhelming, too much fat to meat ratio. I hope that they get better at the quality of food, there is a lot of competition out there with Chinese food anyway.

My family and I have been regular visitors to Asian Wok, and it never fails to hit the spot for our Chinese food cravings! This gem of a restaurant consistently delivers mouthwatering dishes with vibrant flavors that keep us coming back for more. From the moment you walk in, the warm and friendly service makes you feel right at home, and the speed at which the food arrives is impressive without compromising quality. Some of our absolute favorites include the succulent tiger prawns, the rich and savory salted fish and eggplant casserole, and the perfectly crisp green beans fry. The steamed pork ribs are tender and packed with flavor, while the beef honeycomb in peanut sauce and kung pao chicken bring just the right balance of spice and texture. We also can’t get enough of the beef and spring onion stir-fry, which is always a crowd-pleaser. Every dish is prepared with care, showcasing authentic flavors that make every bite a delight. The staff’s attentiveness and the welcoming atmosphere only add to the experience, making Asian Wok our go to spot for Chinese cuisine in Auckland. If you’re looking for delicious food, fast service, and a friendly vibe, I highly recommend giving Asian Wok a try, you won’t be disappointed!

Came here because a friend recommended it. Ordered the Samosa Chaat . taste was okay, but nothing special. Not bad, just not memorable.

I ordered on Uber Eats and had a great lunch. The banh mi was very tasty and flavourful my only con is that it had some type of chilli paste on top maybe that I wasn’t aware of before ordering but i don’t mind spice. However if others were to order on Uber Eats thats just a heads up incase. But other than that it was very nice and would recommend

Best dandan noodles in the city. Very authentic. Have to be careful with the heat, as the medium is quite spicy already - especially if you're not get used to Asian spicy level. Their portions are quite generous. Their dumplings and cold appetisers are quite good too. The place is very small, and can be quite hot in the summer. Parking are on the street which can be quite challenging in Takapuna. A definite must try.

It’s been a while since we bought from here. Never disappointed. Value for money. We ordered the special deal steak chow mein/chicken fried rice combo at $34. Enough to feed a family of 4. And 1 portion of fries for $4.50 - enough for 2 people. Quick service. Securely wrapped and ready to go. Delicious and plenty leftover for tomorrow. The chips were cooked to perfection. Based at Northcote shopping centre next to Woolworth supermarket. Lots of free parking. Very popular and busy takeaway. ❤️
