From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the freshness of the ingredients—there’s a large tank showcasing all the live seafood available, so you know exactly what you’re getting. It’s not just a meal here—it’s a full experience. The menu is focused and straightforward: fresh seafood is the star of the show. Don’t expect a long menu with lots of options—this place is all about premium, quality seafood done right. We ordered the combination seafood pot and a king crab, and both were absolutely amazing. The seafood pot was full of flavour and generously portioned, perfect for sharing. The king crab was fresh, meaty, and cooked to perfection. What really stood out, even beyond the delicious food, was the exceptional service. Honestly, it was the best service we’ve received at any restaurant in a long time. The staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. One staff member even helped us cook the seafood combination pot at our table, which made the experience even more enjoyable and memorable. It felt like we were being hosted rather than just served. We also tried the Paua fried rice, and it was a delightful surprise—perfectly cooked and rich in seafood flavour. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared, highlighting the freshness of the ingredients. Another bonus is the free parking lot behind the restaurant, which is a rare find in this area and makes visiting even more convenient. My family and I have been regular visitors to Asian Wok, and it never fails to hit the spot for our Chinese food cravings! This gem of a restaurant consistently delivers mouthwatering dishes with vibrant flavors that keep us coming back for more. From the moment you walk in, the warm and friendly service makes you feel right at home, and the speed at which the food arrives is impressive without compromising quality. Some of our absolute favorites include the succulent tiger prawns, the rich and savory salted fish and eggplant casserole, and the perfectly crisp green beans fry. The steamed pork ribs are tender and packed with flavor, while the beef honeycomb in peanut sauce and kung pao chicken bring just the right balance of spice and texture. We also can’t get enough of the beef and spring onion stir-fry, which is always a crowd-pleaser. Every dish is prepared with care, showcasing authentic flavors that make every bite a delight. Came here because a friend recommended it. Ordered the Samosa Chaat . taste was okay, but nothing special. Not bad, just not memorable.

I ordered on Uber Eats and had a great lunch. The banh mi was very tasty and flavourful my only con is that it had some type of chilli paste on top maybe that I wasn’t aware of before ordering but i don’t mind spice. However if others were to order on Uber Eats thats just a heads up incase. But other than that it was very nice and would recommend

Best dandan noodles in the city. Very authentic. Have to be careful with the heat, as the medium is quite spicy already - especially if you're not get used to Asian spicy level. Their portions are quite generous. Their dumplings and cold appetisers are quite good too. The place is very small, and can be quite hot in the summer. Parking are on the street which can be quite challenging in Takapuna. A definite must try.
