dinsdale-takeaway

quote Chicken fry rice had plenty of flavour same with the chicken curry. Egg fu Yong was also tasty unlike others that can be bland. A little pricey but it's like that every where now. Will go back again

quote This spot served up authentic flavours and hearty portions. The dan dan noodles were an absolute standout. The broth was rich, aromatic, and full of depth, while the fresh, chewy noodles soaked up every bit of flavour. The combination of meat, veggies, and peanuts tied the dish together beautifully, creating a dynamic and satisfying bowl. It’s easily one of the best dan dan noodles I’ve had — a definite must-try! The crispy pan-fried pork and prawn dumplings were another highlight. Each bite delivered a perfect balance of crisp exterior and juicy interior, and that “mum’s secret garlic soy sauce”? Absolutely addictive! I was left wondering what magic went into it after the very first dip. These dumplings prove that the team here has truly mastered the art of pan frying while maintaining that delicate, steamed-like texture inside. On the flip side, the pan-fried pork buns didn’t quite hit the mark for me. They felt more like oversized dumplings rather than soft, fluffy buns. The texture was a bit tough, and the filling had an unusual flavour that didn’t match the deliciousness of the pork and prawn dumplings. I’d probably skip these next time. Overall, though, this eatery offers great value for money, with generous portions and excellent quality across most dishes. If you’re looking for flavour-packed noodles and expertly made dumplings, this place should be high on your list.

quote The dumplings are authentic and well-seasoned, not overly sweet like some places do on purpose. The service is high-quality and genuinely welcoming, making me feel right at home. Portions are very generous — there were plenty of meatballs hidden at the bottom of the casserole, and every dish was packed with lots of vegetables.

quote The food quality and serving size was fantastic. The little train that delivers food to your table is such a nice touch. Wait time isnt long at all either. However the service is soooo slow. I had to ask twice for little bowls for my soy sauce which tools 10 minutes after I had arrived. But in saying that I would go back as the food was phenomenal.

quote So amazing ! This is the second time trying this place, first time was from UberEats at a friend’s house. Previous to this I’d only ever tried fish n chips a handful of times in NZ as they’re usually greasy and doughnut like, but this exceeded expectations. Excellent quality and value at a really reasonable price. This was a gurnard fillet and scoop of fries for just $11.80 The standard batter is crisp and medium-light density so it’s certainly not like a doughnut as most places can be. Not quite as light as a tempura but certainly nowhere near as dense as a beer batter. The fries are really good quality straight cut and cooked to perfection. If you’re looking to lower your sodium intake, maybe ask them to go a bit lighter on the seasoning as this was almost borderline excessive seasoning on the fries. The store was really clean and the owners / staff are really friendly. Not sure what the previous reviewer was referring to, but these weren’t greasy at all, exactly as I remember from trying them the first time a week ago. I’m NOT a big fan kiwi classics, especially fish n chips: so this was a standout winner for the value and quality.
