Our Customer Reviews

quote Tida is a cozy Persian restaurant with a beautiful design and a warm atmosphere. The concept behind their dishes — especially the one with crispy tahdig layers and stew in between — is truly creative and appealing. The food itself was tasty; the flavors of the stews and kebabs were acceptable , and the presentation looked nice. However, the space is very small, which made the dining experience less comfortable. We were seated at a large shared table with another family — something that might be enjoyable in a café for socializing, but not ideal for a lunch. We also had to move seats a couple of times to accommodate other guests, which disrupted the meal. The portion sizes were surprisingly small. For example, the gheymeh dish came with just one or two small spoonfuls of stew between two pieces of tahdig, with very little amount of meat. We also tried the chenjeh, fesenjan, and kebab koobideh. While they looked appetizing, the servings were again too small for the price. The tahdig was quite crispy and oily — though that’s expected for this dish — so no complaint there. But the side salad was disappointing; it lacked enough seasoning, salt, and dressing, which made it bland. In this season spring /summer all vegetables are so fresh! Overall, while the food was good and the concept interesting, the experience felt overpriced for what was served. Paying around $27 for two pieces of tahdig and a small amount of stew didn’t feel worth it. I really wanted to like this place, but given the portion size and overall value, I wouldn’t go back.

quote I have only provided a handful of reviews before but this place deserves a special mention. I dine here quite often with my family. The Mandi is by far the best I have a had in Australia. It aromatic, delicious and cooked to perfection without fail. The consistency is same all the time. My children enjoy the food very much as much as us adults do. The staff is very friendly and hospitable, they make us feel home and are very attentive. This place provides us a very special dining experience every time we come here. Also the portions are large and the price is cheap compared to the quality of food, amount of food, consistency and service provided by this restaurant. I recommend everyone to try this out atleast once and decide for yourself. Will not disappoint.
