Mexican

The main meal of the day in Mexico is the "comida", meaning 'meal' in Spanish. This refers to dinner or supper. It sometimes begins with soup, often chicken broth with pasta or a "dry soup", which is pasta or rice flavored with onions, garlic or vegetables. The main course is meat served in a cooked sauce with salsa on the side, accompanied with beans and tortillas and often with a fruit drink.

quote Quality Mexican food and drinks. Fully authentic as we sat outside drinking fantastic spicy margaritas 🍹 and had a great dish of beef nachos 😋 After a few more drinks we tried the quesadilla with spicy beef. Best Mexican we've had, that's saying allot as we where in america and Mexico last year. Fully recommended to get a few rounds of drinks and food and dance in the parking lot

quote Pizzaland is on the very corner of the strip so it’s easy to miss but don’t go past it. It’s a small but very friendly place to grab your pizza to go. Heads up, there are no tables to dine there. The pizzas are made the old traditional way with the old ovens that are slowly disappearing. The ingredients are fresh, the pizzas are tasty and prices are reasonable. We ordered the Aussie, BBQ Meat lovers and Spaghetti Bolognaise pasta.

quote I liked the fact that I ate stuff that I'd never even heard of from mainstream "tex mex" restauraunts. We could have ordered different stuff but what you see on the photo was too filling for me to finish - as authentic carb based workers' food is. My wife doesn’t like that everything in the way of tortillas is authentically corn. Not that it mattered to us but corn based means gluten free for those that care. There is also one flavour that is consistant across the menu - and its not one found in the unauthentic restaurants which are the majority. My wife had it decades ago in Mexico and doesn't like it. No problem for me. No idea what the flavour was. Nothing we ate was too hot for us: we were asked. We did get an unassuming red squeezie bottle of sauce from the trolley to spice things up. Wow, it was hot - but used responsibly was great. So you either love or lump it but there is no getting away from the fact that the owner is sincere in the foods she prepares and is a lovely person! I haven’t seen the owner sInce she was selling food on the Marrickville market - a long time ago. No matter what, the place is authentic, the Mezcal and cocktails are worthy and if you are up for the real deal Mexican at a good price, this is the place to go.
