It’s $5 per basket for steamed yumcha.
Love that they have aircond which is extremely helpful in this blaring hot summer.

I recently visited The Golden Rooster, and while the food was still as tasty as ever, there were a few disappointments. First off, the wait was incredibly long. We were left waiting for quite some time, which definitely put a damper on the experience.
Another issue was the portion sizes. They seemed noticeably smaller than what I remember from previous visits. It was a bit disappointing to see, especially given the prices, which haven’t dropped to match the smaller servings.
That said, the food itself was still really good. The flavours were on point, and everything was cooked well. If you’re not in a rush and don’t mind the reduced portions, you’ll probably still enjoy the meal, but it might not be quite the same as before.
However the younger waiters/waitresses were very kind and friendly. They also provided us with free fruit at the end of our meal, which was nice. :)

Highly recommend this restaurant. It offers very good value for money. Very big portion and tastes good too. We ordered rice noodle egg gravy, shrimp paste fried rice, and sweet and sour chicken on rice. They gave extra cookies when we ordered takeaway. The pringles in the photo is for size reference. We ordered these for 4 people and still have plenty leftover. Impressive!!
I have bought several times from this restaurant and have always been happy. I think the few bad reviews could be a case of mistaken for another restaurant.
Misc Things
Waitress was very attentive. She was also being friendly and patient when we ask for the $5 special dim sum.
The portion size was still decent even it’s only $5 for steamed items.
Flavor not bad but overall it’s a good dinner for spending less than $30 each.

Chicken, Shiitake mushroom stir fry meal just doesn't get much better than this. Topped by gravy of concentrated clam, anchovie soup, umami over-flowing!
