A bit grim inside, but can't complain about the food. I had my first ever deep-fried moro bar there and it was delish! I would recommend 687 for sure. But when I asked if ice cream goes with a deep-fried moro bar, the guy didn't know. He'd never tried one. I would strongly urge the staff to taste all the food that they're cooking at least once. It should be a given in the food industry that you know what you're cooking, even with fast food.

Great food, always come on a Thursday night or others and will go out of my way to come here for Chinese food. Tonight I came at 8pm, doors open, lights on,
and was told we're closed get out with a filthy horrible look until we were out of eyesight. Went next door to the bar for a drink, when we were finished at 8:30pm, we came out to find multiple people had just ordered and were waiting for food. Was then told we could come order, at which point i said, "We will never come back as this is absolutely disrespectful". Will never be going back and do not recommend. As a side note I've also had diarrhea from here before.
EDIT: Still going here and it's still great, was maybe just a bad day for the chef. We all have them, so can't hold one bad experience against the place

Kiwi style Chinese fried rice right here - IYKYK.
- Steak fried rice 10/10
Perfect rice, balance of peas, bean sprouts, egg, and steak. Rice has a slight char, showing that the wok is well used and high quality. Any of the rice dishes is a must.
- Combination egg foo yong 8.5/10
Great portion size, would do 3 people. Still had egg moisture seeping through the paper plate, but the dish was moist nice Combination of meats.
- Chips 7/10
Need to add salt too many small end bit for my liking
- Mussel and scallops 8/10
Well battered good quality size, they should ve @ 3.50 each.
Highly suggest happy with their food prep, and friendly people.

This place was great, surprisingly!
The Dandan noodles, in particular, were outstanding – served generously and at an affordable cheap price. I opted for the dry noodles, and the sauce, neither too salty nor too mild, was quite addictive. The thick noodles blended perfectly with the sauce, creating a delightful taste. As a fan of Chinese food, I thoroughly enjoyed this dish.
The dumplings and 锅包肉 (guōbāoròu) (I wasn't sure its English name - it is sweet and sour pork crispy version) were also yummy and satisfying.
Highly recommended to those who love Chinese food and in Browns Bay.
