11-dim-sum

quote First time here for Yum Cha but definitely not the last. No wait for a table & little wait for our Kai to start coming. I loved that we could quickly scan & order and that the online menu had photos of the dishes & was available in English. We ordered 8 different dishes which cost in excess of eighty dollars. Service was efficient & friendly. Our table was clean & the restaurant was also clean.

beijing-duck-restaurant

quote We've been eating here for thr past 2 years, each time we leave full and happy. The peking duck is a great value at $60, but you do need to order it 1 hour in advance. They serve the best salty egg yolk green beans, and the homemade pancake is huge and a fantastic value at $8. We brought my parents here when they visited NZ and they loved all the dishes we ordered. Highly recommended! Update: came back again and the food was excellent! The chef is very consistent in his cooking which we appreciate, as not all chinese restaurants are consistent and you never know what you're gonna get. Not here! The free jasmine tea is enjoyable as it's not too strong, not too weak (the owner says she buys the tea leaves from a specialty shop). The 20% off promotion is still available!

blossom-court

quote Tried Blossom Court for the first time and was really impressed! We ordered the Guluyok rice, prawn noodle soup, and pan mee soup. The flavour was rich, and truly authentic, just like what you’d get back home in Malaysia. + they added the pork lard in the soup absolutely boosts the flavor of the soup. The Malaysian boss Ah Ming was also very friendly and welcoming. Looking forward to coming back soon, their laksa noodle is next on my list!

brown-rice-japanese-kitchen

quote So happy to find a bento spot that delivers fresh, tasty bento! I had the crispy teriyaki salmon which was good. Rich but clean. Quality maki, well made rice and a decent amount of salad. The crumbed deep fried prawns were awful though - cold, greasy, overly crumbed and not fresh tasting. Otherwise really good!

burswood-bbq-cafe

quote There aren’t many late-night restaurants in East Auckland, so this place is great for late cravings. They have a wide range of food—skewers, hotpot, noodles, claypot rice, and more. Worth a try! The only thing that could be improved is the air circulation inside, as it can feel a bit stuffy.
