Order Food in mangakakahi

I can’t remember exactly when we first started going to Canton, maybe bout 5 or 6 years ago my tane ordered snapper which we both love underdone and they were delicious. We also love the other food like fried rice, king prawn egg fu young etc it’s all good. We don’t go anywhere else unless this is closed, the service is on point, we make up our own atmophere and the whanau there are mint.

BEST for Takeaways and Seafood in Rotorua,! Owner takes pride in presenting and serving his takeaways you’ll notice it’s never crushed or squashed when wrapped, it’s never greasy and the chips are perfect because his oil is always clean. I travel from Pukehangi Rd for our snapper pack so fresh so good A+++

Bought scoop of chips late Saturday afternoon and were delcious and freshly cooked. Bought another scoop the veey next day ( a Sun night )and the chips had been cooked in dirty fat and of poor quality. Did not enjoy them at all compared to the day before. 🥲 from a past fish n chip business owner to another - clean your vats after a busy night with fresh oil whatever it us you use. On the upside, The garlic noodle prawns was amazing as usual😋

It's alright. Decent food, good quantities, in and out fast enough. About what you'd expect from a roadside takeaway shop. You'll get what you need and be decently satisfied.

Unassuming looking place. But the service was friendly, the guy was polite and happy to serve. The chips nice golden brown and not greasy. The batter on the fish was great, I'd recommend getting the terakihi over the normal fish. The cheeseburger was great for $7! A basic meat patty but I really liked the way the cheese was done! I have been to this restaurant in Hamilton some years ago and upon finding there was one in Rotorua it was a must visit dinner stop during our trip. Having lived in China and knowing the tastes I was surprised at some low review scores which was surprising as the food is excellent and are authentic mainland Chinese dishes from Sichuan. If you are expecting Cantonese style Chinese dishes catering to western tastes you may be disappointed. But if you are looking for authentic food from China you will love it. I will come back again and again given the chance
