This is definitely the best "Wat Tan Ying Yong" in Auckland. It truly captures the taste of Malaysia. I make it a point to visit at least once a month because I love it so much. The place is always spotless, the staff is super friendly and there's always plenty of parking.

Hands down my favourite Malaysian restaurant, this is my go to place when I feel like warm heart felt Malaysian food. Great service and great food!

Delicious. Fermented bean curd marinade pork belly pieces fried, and white rice very nice.

Rang up and ordered takeaway on the way home beforehand for pick up 30 mins later. Food was ready for me when I arrived. Dining in is also an option but the carpark can be busy at dinner time. Food is tasty and good portion size. I did notice that the price on the website for ordering is more expensive, as I paid less when I ordered over the phone

Tried this place for the first time over the weekend as my partner recommended it after a few work lunches there. We ordered the Wat Dan Hor (rice noodles with pork, prawn, fish tofu and egg gravy), the Salt and Pepper Fried Pork and the Salted Fish and Chicken Fried Rice. Of the 3, the rice noodles was the best. The portion size was good and for a reasonable price and there's plenty of variety on the menu. Only criticism was that it could have been seasoned a bit more and for the Pork dish in particular, was a little too lean and tough. Might have been cooked twice as it wasn't very hot when it came to the table, as in heat.
