We stumbled upon this restaurant based on recommendations from friends during our visit to Tauranga, and I must say, it exceeded all expectations.
What sets this place apart is its authenticity. Unlike other restaurants, this place has a genuine taste of India, which is a rare find outside the country.
For starters, we ordered chicken tikka and momos (prepared in an authentic Nepalese style, which was AMAZING!). For mains, we had chicken tikka masala, lamb curry and butter naan. Every dish was exceptional, with just the right balance of flavors and not overly heavy on oil, unlike many other places.
The warm hospitality of the staff, particularly Ashok, the manager, made this place distinct. His recommendations based on our preferences truly enhanced our experience.
This restaurant is a hidden gem in Tauranga and a definite must-visit if you're in the area. I'll certainly be returning on my next trip without a doubt!

Ok, it’s just a Chinese takeaway chip shop but it does what it does very well. I’ve enjoyed their fish and chips twice this week and that’s says something. Not disappointed the second time either!
The snapper was fresh and the chips were lovely, fluffy and crispy on the outside, without any oil or grease residue. Non oily fish and chips is not often found so well done to these guys.
It would be great if you offered additional items like pickled onions, bread and butter to make a chip sandwich, mushy peas, malt vinegar. Then you would truly be a star.
Just walk across the road to the Motiti Reserve find a table and watch the ocean. The perfect way to enjoy fresh fish & chips.
