First... No covid rules..people walking in two diffent doors making way to tables no masks no checking. Staff wearing masks though. Probably good for Chinese but they do not speak much English and had difficulty ordering. Drink menu ok except they did not have many items on the list...of 6 beer types they had two. For soft drinks of five..just lemonade...Meals good size..but no one came and cleared dishes...only looked like two staff working. Overall.. only average experience, most likely not go back.
Owner is friendly and dishes are always delicious and come in good portions. Takeaways are always ready when I arrive to collect it.
Our dining experience here was so good. There is so much space and plenty of tables. I think they even have rooms that you can reserve for lunch or dinner conference - but you'll have to double check this info with them. The staff is very courteous too. They offer super tasty food in huge servings for a very reasonable price. I paid between 40 to 50nzd for 3 different dishes that we did not get to finish. So we still had food left to take away. Even that lasted for two or three more meals. Looking forward to trying their roasted duck. Yum.
Best peking duck on the Shore. If you're after cheap and fast lunch this is the place to be. Their serving of barbeque on rice is best in value can be ordered 1 meat, 2 meat combo, 3 meat combo, cheap and delicious. Also the fried rice is good and is enough to feed 2 to 3 people. If you are after something else, the other outstanding dishes are the golden prawn, stir fried veges and roast pork, although these dishes are more expensive. The restaurant is open around 10 am until late no broken time, so a good place for late lunch or early dinner. The restaurant can be busy during Friday nights and weekends. Parking can sometimes be a problem due to limited availability during peak times. Overall this a good Chinese restaurant. Bonus this is a BYO restaurant.
Cantonese food of good standard. Service excellent.
