I first discovered this place through a Malaysian friend, and it never disappoints. Although the portion sizes have decreased slightly recently, the food is still so delicious that it’s worth it. Even during busy hours, the young staff are always friendly, and I always leave with a smile. I’m worried it’ll get even more crowded, but I truly hope they stay open for a long time!

Had dinner with my son 26 Oct 2025. He heard of the place from his friends so we decided to go there. We had Nasi Lemak with Rendang Beef, pineapple fried rice, and squid nestum. Hot Tea was complimentary. All the fare tasted great. Service was reasonably well. Atmosphere was just right. Asian and Kiwi customers were dining that night. All in all a very fine dining experience.

The taste is fantastic. The salted prawn and tofu with soy sauce are the highlights of this dining experience.
Be sure to reserve a spot before visiting, as it's usually busy. There is a car park behind the restaurant, and a back door for entry. Remember to give your license plate at the counter for free 3-hour parking.
Portion sizes are generous, and food is served promptly. The prices are quite reasonable.
I plan to visit again.

Real authentic tasting Malaysian cuisine. The portions are generous and the flavours are spot on. We had the deep fried snapper with curry sauce, Homemade egg tofu with soy sauce, Marmite Sauce Chicken and a Eggplant dish. Parking at the rear, but need to register on the Ipad once inside

Petaling Malaysian Restaurant is a great spot for authentic Malaysian food. I highly recommend the Hainanese chicken rice — tender chicken and fragrant rice. Friendly staff and a cozy atmosphere make it worth visiting.
