I reckon Mt Albert Dumpling House serves the best Chinese food in town. You get properly cooked, tasty food here. The Chicken and Chives dumplings are juicy and the spicy sauce has a real kick. The Kung Pao Chicken tastes good, but it had too many peanuts which overpowered the chicken a bit. The Veg Fried Rice is a winner though since it is light rather than greasy. You should visit if you want a satisfying feed.

amount of dumplings. Our favourite go-to place when we’re craving dumpling’s. Our favourite side dish is the spring onion pancakes with their homemade mayo 😋

We've just moved to the neighbourhood and decided to check out Dumpling House, my partner and I tired and hungry from cleaning and moving.
The welcome was warm and friendly, the beer cold, and the food excellent. We had shredded pork in fish sauce over noodles, and pork mince and pickled cabbage dumplings in a spicy sauce. Good lord, it was delicious and plentiful. We slurped down the noodles and finished all the dumplings.
We've had some pretty mediocre Chinese food from another place, and we've had some very good South East Asian "fusion" food from two or three other places, but it's nice to find a spot that serves excellent food straight up. We will definitely be back to explore the menu.

The dumplings and soup were both delicious, the atmosphere was warm and busy but not too loud and the service and staff were super friendly and helpful. Above all, you'd struggle to find better value for money anywhere in the country. Do not miss this place. Solid 10/10

We are so happy to have chanced upon this restaurant, very friendly staff and good food! We ordered the hot and sour soup which was really good, we highly recommend that! Also the pan fried dumplings, steamed dumplings and xiao long bao were all delicious.
