Delicious fish and chips. The best in the country I reckon! Couldn’t believe the service. Very quick and efficient. Super friendly. The fish was absolutely devine, highly recommend getting battered.

Mairehau Fish Supply has been our regular for some time now.. we've ordered about 5-6 times over the last 18 months, consistency has been spot-on every time. I'm especially impressed with the burgers, the beef patties are really generous compared to other places, about a 1/2" thick. Love the chips, I think they're considered the lower 'grade' (higher grades just have more "perfect" looking chips) so you get the small crunchy pieces that most people love, along with the regular chips. 1 scoop is enough for two people (if you're having a burger or something else with it). Prices are very fair.
Note: The council's road works has really made it difficult for businesses in this little retail area, but they finally have parking outside. As of August 10th traffic is one-way heading eastward (travelling from Papanui Road to Marshland Road), and there's lots of parking in the evenings right outside the shop.

Excellent chips, clean, golden and crispy. Awesome chicken wings, nice coating and generous serving. 4 enough for a meal 6 could feed a prop. Cheeseburger was ok,not a highlight and fish selection limited (elephant fish) so I skipped that.
