I had a very satisfying takeaway experience at Green Chilli Indian Takeaway. We ordered garlic naan, Green Chilli chef’s special chicken curry, chicken tikka masala, and lamb kadai.
The portion sizes were generous, offering excellent value for money. One aspect I particularly appreciated was their flexibility in adjusting the spice levels, which made the meal enjoyable and well-balanced without compromising on flavour.
The curries were rich, aromatic, and well-cooked, with the chef’s special standing out for its depth of flavour. The lamb kadai was tender and robustly spiced, while the chicken tikka masala was creamy and comforting.

I came here mainly for naan, and honestly this place serves the best naan bread in Wellington. The naan is super fresh, crispy, and not oily at all. I tried plain naan and garlic & cheese naan—both were outstanding and definitely worth the price.
The curries are full of real Indian spice flavours. Chicken Tikka Masala and Lamb Kadai were rich and well balanced. You can taste the quality of the spices in every bite. Service is very fast; my order was ready in under 10 minutes. A great takeaway spot in Hataitai.

Tried Green Chilly Take Away in Hataitai and was very impressed. The food has a genuine Indian taste with well-used spices. Chicken Tikka and Butter Paneer were excellent, and the flavours were not overpowering.
What stood out most was the naan—crispy, fresh, and perfectly cooked, especially the garlic naan. Prices are reasonable for the quality. Service was fast, friendly, and efficient, with less than 10 minutes wait. Definitely a solid Indian takeaway in Wellington.

Green Chilly Take Away is our go-to Indian place now. The menu is very rich with Indian spices and lots of options. We ordered Butter Paneer, Lamb Kadai, and Chicken dishes, and everything tasted fresh and flavourful.
The chef’s special chicken curry really surprised us—it has a unique blend of spices and a deep flavour you don’t find everywhere. We also loved the fresh mango lassi, very smooth and tasty. Staff are quick, polite, and the waiting time is always short. Highly recommended for a quick and satisfying meal.

Amazing food and very friendly staff. I bought a Chicken Biriyani. It was delicious and more than enough for two people. It is the best place to experience a wide variety of Indian food.
