If you’re looking for truly authentic Indian food that warms your heart and satisfies your soul, look no further. Our recent visit to this incredible Indian restaurant was nothing short of outstanding. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
The decor is tastefully done, with a cozy and vibrant vibe that reflects the rich culture of India. The aroma of spices in the air set the tone for what was going to be an unforgettable dining experience.
Now, let’s talk about the food—absolutely next level. Every dish we tried was a masterpiece in flavor, texture, and presentation. The balance of spices, the freshness of ingredients, and the depth of flavor in every bite made it clear that this place doesn’t just serve food—they serve passion on a plate.
The laacha partha was soft, warm, and just the right amount of crispy on the edges. It’s the kind of food that makes you close your eyes and just savor every bite.
What made the experience even more special was the exceptional service.Mr. Singh. An amazing person—so humble, warm, and down-to-earth. He personally came over to check our table, made sure everyone was happy, and even took time to chat with guests. His presence and attitude truly reflect the heart and soul of this restaurant. It’s not just about serving great food, but creating a memorable experience.
Dining here was not just about eating—it was a full cultural and culinary journey. The care, attention to detail, and authenticity poured into every aspect of this place are truly commendable.
This restaurant deserves all the praise for delivering such a high standard in both food and service. If you appreciate real Indian cuisine and heartfelt hospitality, this place is an absolute must-visit. Highly recommended, and definitely a place we’ll be coming back to again and again.

If you want a proper taste of Indian food then this is the place. We ordered Dal Makhani and Dal Tadka along with Gobi Kulcha and Onion Kulcha. Both dals were very tasty and the right amount of spicy heat. Both types of kulcha were the best we've tried. The owner Gajendra Singh and his daughter Kalpana were so hospitable and very friendly and made you feel very welcomed. This is a gem of a place so do try it when you're in Dunedin.

Outstandingly fresh and perfectly spiced with the best garlic naan I have had for a very long time - soft with lots of flavour. Excellent service and delicious food. Our group of 9 were very impressed and we all agreed we would be back. We highly recommend this restaurant and the assortment of dishes they offer. If you are looking for flavour, freshness and Indian authenticity - this would be one of the better Indian restaurants in Dunedin. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful with suggestions off their menu, you will be offered ‘kiwi hot’ or ‘Indian hot’ (lip burning). Toilets were impeccably clean. Plus 4 corkage for BYO wine!

Can’t believe Dunedin is sleeping on this! Came for dinner on Saturday night and it was pretty quiet. Ordered the tokri chaat and their gool gappe to start followed by the chicken mushroom curry and chicken chilli (gravy) curry, both “hot.” We eat Indian and Thai quite a bit back home and it wasn’t too spicy for us. We also got an order of butter naan and mozzarella garlic naan. The chef stopped by to ensure we were enjoying our meal, which was nice. The restaurant is located right in the city center and was super clean and well decorated. I hope they have a lot of success as the food was fantastic and it’s a lovely spot!

The food here is fantastic. We started with the Tokari Chaat. It went down well and was a great way to start. The two curries and accompanying Naans were equally delicious. Service was prompt and welcoming. It was a shame there weren't more people in. Fantastic food and great value.
