Chinatown Chinese Restaurant

Excellent Chinese Restaurant for Yum Cha or they even have Chinese Buffet. I had Yum Cha on a Saturday lunchtime and the restaurant was almost full. Lucky I went early enough. They bring out different dishes and you can choose ones to try. I had the Chicken Sticky Rice, Pork Shumai, Prawn Rice Rolls and Deep Fried Pork Dumplings. Excellent and friendly staff

If you are looking for a reliable spot for a delicious meal in Palmerston North, Chinatown is a must-visit. I recently had dinner here and was thoroughly impressed by several factors: The Food: Every dish was flavorful, fresh, and served hot. It’s clear they use quality ingredients, and the portions are generous. Affordability: In a time where dining out can get pricey, Chinatown offers excellent value for the money. It’s perfect for a casual family dinner or a quick mid-week meal. Atmosphere: The restaurant is notably clean and tidy. The environment is welcoming and well-maintained, which makes for a much more comfortable dining experience. Service: The staff were friendly and attentive. Our food arrived quickly, and we felt well-taken care of throughout the night. Bottom line: Great food, great prices, and a spotless environment. I’ll definitely be back!

Great service, food was your typical Chinese food. We went first thing so everything was fresh. I do think they could update there deserts options. Pumpkin soup was amazing. The atmosphere was old and hasn't changed in 20 years could do with a lick of paint. All in all 7/10

Delicious food. I like their har gow, siu mai, and chicken feet. I love their beef noodle stir-fry and lotus wrapped sticky rice. I don't think I can find that type of noodles in the grocery or supermarket.
