I finally got to try their Sarawak noodle干拌面 and I have to say it's really similar to the Sarawakian style. The Hainanese chicken rice (海南鸡饭)and Wat Tan Hor (滑蛋和)are also very authentic. If you're looking to try some "East" Malaysia style food, I highly recommend this restaurant because most of the Auckland Malaysian food comes from the "West". The prices are reasonable, the place is clean, and there's plenty of parking. Plus, the staff is lovely.

Finally got the chance to try this place out today. Have been trying to come here for months now and it's always closed or fully packed! Ordered the fried kuay teow and sambal chicken rice. Both were absolutely delicious! I heard this place from several Malaysian friends and boy what a gem. The best authentic Malaysian restaurant on the shore for sure!

We try to come here once a week and have enjoyed the meals we get. They have great service and are super friendly. The Nasi Lemak was exceptional and the starter of deep fried tofu was actually the best I’ve had in awhile.

The char kwei tiau had a great wok hei touch and the portion is also generous. We asked for medium spicy and they delivered it .. no need sambal added anymore. They are also generous with prawn and fish cake toppings which had wok hei taste to them too. The Sarawak laksa is full of flavour with generous topping as well , came with sambal belacan and slice of lemon on the side which balance out the rich laksa soup. The portion is generous as well. Overall great value compare to other malaysian restaurant. Cant wait to be back again to try other dishes like otak2, mee goreng and marmite chicken w rice. Tummy is happy and it is truly hidden gem in Northcote.
