Our hotel recommended this restaurant but we found it mediocre in terms of taste. The service however was fairly good with the wait staff answering our questions and tending to us promptly although no one checked in on how our orders were or how we found the food.
The food did take awhile but did not capture our senses in terms of taste and was somewhat lacking in flavour. I guess this could be a stop if you were craving Mexican food but do manage your expectations.

Stopped for lunch just after visiting te anau's glowworm cave. They have options for kids, son loved their fish and chips. We came just before they close for a short break? Food was great, good portion and delicious too! Guy serving us was very accomodating and friendly. Will patronize if we come back to NZ!

Went to Mexican Tastz for dinner with my partner, we had the nachos and guacamole as a starter and each a burrito. Food was tasty and arrived quickly. Service as friendly and competent. Can certainly recommend this place for some

Nice restaurant with amazing food and great service. Located super close to the highway, provides a good option for takeaway as well. Visited on a weekday evening and the restaurant was almost full to capacity. Both Chicken and Beef meat are Halal here, so also frequented by the tourists who prefer Halal meat. The restaurant was being run by a team of three very young people on the serving front, and they were doing a great job despite the large number of guests. Tried the Burritos and Kumara Fries that were really good. However the food being served around the restaurant had a wonderful aroma as well. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

Chicken Nachos, chicken empanadas, chicken fajitas and Churros all fantastic and great service. The food was so enjoyable.
