Outstanding Chinese restaurant. My favorite restaurant in 2025. No matter how busy the restaurant it gets, the food is always great. 宫保鸡丁kung Pao Chicken surprised me. So good! And they have the best Swiss roll in Christchurch.

5 of us were dining. We chose 6 different dishes, and all 6 were absolutely beautiful. Joyful would be the most enjoyable Chinese restaurant I have ever been to. The sweet and sour chicken was the best I have ever had. The Peking Duck wraps were so delicious also.
I recommend to book a table, as it is so very popular.

My third time here and I’m always surprised in a good way! The food is very tasty and well made, and they even give you a starter with soup and tea. I really recommend it! The service is always great too.
